Quality Mold's Engineering Group translates numerical tire
design specifications into computer programs. Well experienced in drawing
development and programming services, our staff of professionals employ
state-of-the-art Tebis and Pro Engineering programming. This group is unique
among non-captive tire mold manufacturers.
A Dedicated Foundry for Aluminum Castings
Quality Mold's complete foundry facilities has the
capability to produce aluminum castings for virtually any size two-piece or
segmented tire mold. We offer both cut, qualified, and full-circle
E.D.M. segments. Cast molds are sized and thoroughly inspected before
finishing operations begin. We also have complete capabilities for
producing full steel engraved molds for light truck, medium truck, and bus
tires.
Precision Model Making
This critical operation requires precise, 3-dimensional cutting of complex tread designs.
Our skilled operators of 5-axis, computer-driven cutting machines produce precise models for automobile, light truck, off-the-road,
motorcycle, bicycle, agriculture and aircraft tires. Exacting craftsmanship is applied to every step from template design
throught model building and final finishing.
State Of The Art Manufacturing of Precision Molds
At
Quality Mold, 42,000 square feet of space is allocated for modern
metal working machines and specialized work centers. From sophisticated CNC boring, turning and milling machines to
multi-axis sidewall engravers. We have the equipment and skilled operators to handle every production phase with perfection.
During the manufacturing workflow through each department, a series of in-process inspections are preformed. Only after thorough inspection
is each piece passed on to the next department. This countinues throughout the work flow and ultimately to the Final Inspection Station.
Once the finished mold is certified by department tehnicians, it is marked and cleared for shipping.
Customized Segmented Mold Containers
We also offer our own
custom-design "lubrication-free" segmented mold containers in truck,
bus, and passenger car sizes. These containers have received industry-wide
acceptance and worldwide usage since 1986. Quality Mold can also
facilitate the fabrication of your proprietary designs.
Tire Production Parts and Equipment Sales
QM International, a division of Quality Mold, Inc., is a major supplier of used/rebuilt tire equipment such as curing bladders, and various spare parts for the tire equipment and rubber chemical companies around the world.
